Description

The CNY65B optocoupler consists of an infrared light-emitting diode (LED) on the input side and a silicon phototransistor on the output side. When the LED is forward biased, it emits infrared light that is optically coupled to the phototransistor, causing the phototransistor to conduct. This setup allows the CNY65B to transmit signals across an electrical isolation barrier, ensuring that high voltage does not directly affect sensitive low-voltage circuits.
