Description
The CNY17-2 optocoupler consists of an infrared light-emitting diode (LED) on the input side and a phototransistor on the output side. When the LED is activated, it emits infrared light, which is detected by the phototransistor. This causes the phototransistor to conduct, effectively transmitting the signal from the input to the output while maintaining electrical isolation between the two sides.
