Description

The 74LS138 is a 1-of-8 decoder/demultiplexer IC housed in a 16-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package). It decodes a 3-bit binary input into one of eight outputs, with only one output being active at any given time. As a demultiplexer, it also routes a single input signal to one of eight outputs based on the state of the 3-bit address inputs.
