Description
The 74HC423 is a high-speed CMOS IC that features two independent retriggerable monostable multivibrators. Each monostable multivibrator (also known as a one-shot) is used to generate a single pulse of adjustable width in response to an input trigger. The pulse width is determined by an external RC network. The retriggerable feature allows the pulse width to be extended if additional trigger pulses are received during the pulse duration.
