The 74HC221 is a high-speed CMOS IC that contains two monostable multivibrators. Each multivibrator can be individually triggered to produce a single pulse of adjustable width. The pulse width is determined by an external RC network. The IC also features a reset input, which can be used to immediately terminate the output pulse and reset the circuit.
