The 74HC174 contains six D-type flip-flops with individual D, Q, and Q’ outputs. Each flip-flop has an asynchronous reset input, which allows for resetting the flip-flop to a known state independent of the clock input. This IC is used for data storage and synchronization in digital circuits.
