Description

The 6N137 consists of a gallium-aluminum-arsenide (GaAlAs) LED optically coupled to a high-speed integrated photodetector, which includes a photodiode, a high-gain amplifier, and a transistor output. The design allows for efficient signal transmission with electrical isolation between input and output, making it ideal for protecting low-voltage circuits from high-voltage surges and noise.
