Description
The 6N135 optocoupler consists of a gallium-aluminum-arsenide (GaAlAs) light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to an integrated high-gain photodetector. The photodetector has a transistor output that is used to convert the received light back into an electrical signal. This allows for electrical isolation between the input and output, protecting sensitive parts of the circuit from high voltages.
