Description

The MOC3083 is an optocoupler with an internal LED and a Triac driver. It provides optical isolation between the low-voltage input and the high-voltage output, allowing safe control of AC loads. The Zero-Crossing detection feature ensures that the Triac is triggered only when the AC waveform crosses zero voltage, which significantly reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and prevents high inrush currents.
