Description

The MOC3063 is an optoisolator with an internal LED and a Triac driver. When a sufficient current is applied to the LED, it emits light that triggers the Triac driver, allowing current to flow through the load. The Zero-Crossing detection feature ensures that the Triac is triggered only when the AC waveform crosses zero voltage, which minimizes electrical noise and surge currents, leading to smoother operation.
